September is Pain Awareness Month
September 1, 2020
Pain is a reality for millions of Americans.
That is why in 2001, the American Chronic Pain Association (ACPA) led a coalition to of groups to establish September as Pain Awareness Month. According to the ACPA, “Pain Awareness Month is a time when various organizations work to raise public awareness of issues in the area of pain and pain management.”
The key to raising awareness is getting involved in the conversation. The ACPA has provided resources and ways to help promote Pain Awareness Month.
